Cellular agriculture is an emerging field of research that lies at the intersection of regenerative medicine, genetic engineering, agriculture and food science. Researchers in these fields are using a myriad of tools and methods to try to produce animal-based products like eggs, milk and meat in ways that are friendlier to the environment and animals while safer and more efficiently produced for consumers.
