I got my PhD from UC Irvine's department ecology and evolutionary biology in 2016. Since then I've been a researcher, teacher, and communications specialist. I am a marine ecologist and phycologist, aka I love algae! I study how seaweeds respond to their environment using tools from many different disciplines, including genetics, physiology, and population ecology.
